Fox Searchlight has a new ?teen division? in the works, and it just got a name: Fox Atomic. Oy Vey.
The first release from the new division, according to Variety, is expected by the end of the year, and a full slate of films will be coming in 2007. The Fox Atomic mission statement is to create films and content for teens and young audiences. Among the projects in development are the sequel to 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, a spoof of inspirational sports flicks called The Comeback, a remake of Revenge of the Nerds, a sorority comedy titled Unaffiliated, and Thank You for Smoking helmer Jason Reitman?s next project.
The division will also focus on ?new-media content for the Internet, mobile devices, and other emerging technologies.? How atomic of them.
My first feeling about this ain't that good. Let's wait and see.
suprisingly enough im wary of how good this will be too, but a sequel to 28 days later? thats the britflick with the rage virus right? im not getting it mixed up with some teen romance bullshit am i? 28 weeks later? sounds hmm whats the word... hollywofied
