14.07.06 - Dated: AvP 2, Hills 2, 28 Weeks Later!
Although i only really have a passing interest in only 28 Weeks Later, Fox has annonced the following releases for its horror sequels
Quote:
20th Century Fox just went horror crazy dropping new release dates from three upcoming horror films. First up is 28 Weeks Later, the highly anticipated follow-up to Danny Boyles's 28 Days Later, which will hit theaters on May 11, 2007. The film will be released under the new Fox Atomic banner. Next up is Fox Searchlight's The Hills Have Eyes 2, which will hit theaters March 2nd, 2007. Marton Weisz directs off a script by Wes Craven and his son Jonathan. Last but not least is the dreaded Alien vs Predator 2, which we're sure will kill the franchise for good. Directed by Greg and Colin Strause, the film has been bumped from its August date until December 21, 2007. Click the titles above for more info on each film.

Title: ha ha!

hills have eyes. I think I saw that for the first time on USA Up All Night or maybe Jo-Bob Briggs TNT show. anyway, I thought the original was kinda...stupid. I must have just watched the chevy chase/dan akroyd/demi moore vehicle Nothing But Trouble, cuz it reminded me of that...I mean the stupidity of the sons in the junkyard. it wasn't remotely scary or funny imo. so I guess that makes me (without having even seen it) one of the few people who was happy to see a "more serious" remake. that said...is it really a franchise waiting to explode? lol

the hills have eyes (the original) did suck balls (although cinematically it had an effect of films after it), but to be honest, i thought the concept also sucked balls.

I'd rather have had the money spent on something new and refreshing and not some mtv fodder.
