If your reading this all went well and i actually finished coding the damn thing. This is what I've wanted since... err the begining of (HHAH) time for the frontpage, something that's a center for information but most of all regularly updated movie links.
Not only that but now there's a new and improved and ultra simple movie section that will be updated as fast as stuff appears on the network with sources. Use the links to view the movie, games, series, and misc release sections. For the movies, games and series, the information is extracted from the forums, so to get something on the frontpage it can't be simplar, just use the forums as usual and post your movies/games/series!
The collection section allows for linked records and linking information, hopefully this will be used to make up some great collection of related content. I have reworked the FAQ into a more useful structure I hope, same goes for the Downloads and Links. There's the usual site search, which I've made far less tacky than phpnuke's limited search.
An important note is that it also means I've had the opportunity to ditch the huge limitations and 'workarounds' to getting a phpnuke up and running. The userbase is now shared between the hhah forum and frontpage so there's only registering once (or twice if your into scifi, check that out ). Behind the scenes the structure of the frontpage is uncomparable and I've hopefully created it for the needs of dead-donkey, lets hope it works out. I've also extended the 'news' side of the site, we should have plenty of news feeds and syndication. ...and its still not finished, I plan to continue building upon this template now, its far easier given I've sat down and written the site.
Whilst on that subject, to give credit where credits due, since I'm lifting information from the forum database here and there, I've decided to implement a port of phpbb's rather nice BBcode functionality (post markup so everything's nice and tidy). That would have been like reinventing the wheel, and since i've ported over bbcode, that means all the very nice mods like Simon Moon's add all links and the like is already present. The site colour scheme looks like it did before, since i'm very partial to the subBlack theme from phpbb (which was ported to phpNuke), I've ported it over to this new site too. Any, enjoy the new features. Feedback is welcome in the forum's "Site Development" section.
