26.08.07 - Surpise! Uwe Boll at PAX; journalist flee...
lol, watch the drove of visitors flee! Watch the boos... watch Zouth Park in Zeal Smile
Quote:

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I missed the tail end of Gabe and Tycho's Q&A with the crowd at PAX. After hearing the boys answer the audiences in their typically hilarious style and watching Tycho sing a song of his own creation they announced that they had a special guest arriving to greet the crowd. Being as I had a previously scheduled appointment, I was unable to stay and for the safety of my sanity, this was probably a good thing.

Apparently, the gleeful pair let loose with what may go down in history as one of the biggest let downs in surprise history, the introduction on director Uwe Boll. Luckily, the folks at Joystiq were on hand to catch every painful moment from his arrival on stage to massive booing and jeers to the crowd leaving in droves like rats from a sinking ship. Even more fun awaited in this half hour journey into hell including a hideous bit of his upcoming Postal movie and a gal who just couldn't help herself from telling Uwe how she really felt about it. Watch and cringe in terror if you dare.

had to skip through it cuz it was quite tedious. but house of the dead made $85 million? and cost $7 million? that's what Boll said. I wonder if it's true? iirc, it tanked, but then...I think I'm thinking of house on haunted hill. I don't even remember house of the dead.

you have to hand it to him, whatever's going on in his head is so disassociated from the real world that I think he actually believes his drivel. or his is a far better acting performance than anything in any of his movies. Laughing

Even wikipedia claims House of the Dead cost $9 million and made $13, but I think it's probably be a bit more even (like 10/10 maybe). Herr Bollox doesn't even make up stuff anymore, he seems to be living completely in his own private little world now.

btw was he speaking English at all there? I kept catching English words amongst all the German gibberish he was spouting. I do admit though, I was laughing too much at the audience's reaction to really pay attention as to what he was saying... (and I don't doubt he'll later claim he was universally cheered)
