As I recently posted on scifi.dead-donkey.com, it seems that Sky One who had previously made "The Hogfather" have reformed the same team and are making the first Disc World novel, The Colour of Magic:

This could very well be the best adaptation of Terry Pratchet to date.
Quote:
The Mob Film Company and Sky One are producing a miniseries, combining both The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic to be broadcast over Easter 2008. Sir David Jason will be playing the part of Rincewind[4]. Christopher Lee will be taking over the role of Death from Ian Richardson[5] (a role he previously portrayed in the animated series Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters).
The production team wanted to get fans involved in the adaptation so some of the extras used in the adaptation (in mob scenes and during the fight in the Broken Drum) were Discworld fans who were selected via various website and Newsletters.
According to the TV adverts the miniseries will be broadcast over the easter holiday 2008.
Christoper Lee is a bad choice, look what he did to lord of the rings, greedy bastard!
What will he do here? Film half the series & demand double wages? I hope not.
