I can't seem to access images.dead-donkey.com . What could cause this?
There are several lines of IPs below your avatar in the messages posted on the frontpage.
They look like this:
194.126.172.26/

Those are trackback links, it means that people are still using the ips to navigate around the site.. I'm going to change the code so it forwards to the correct domains shortly
So instead of using www.dead-donkey.com which is not recorded by the stats tracking i wrote, they are using the ip which is being mistaken for an external domain... as soon as people start using dead-donkey.com it will stop tracking like that.
@images.dead-donkey.com, it is in dns, it will resolve as soon as the nameserver propagate. You should remove the hosts file entry and rely on that
Try:
nslookup
images.dead-donkey.com
from your command line.
Some hosts are just very slow are picking up nameserver changes, you are probably still using the old hosts nameservers
