Given how terrible the recent Alien and Alien vs Predator efforts have been, this is about an absolute zero on the horn-o-meter for me... whats the chances they don't give this to an inexperienced cliched mtv2 "music video" director?

PREDATOR 3: Producer John Davis talked with the Collider web site and gave updates on various projects he's involved with including the highly rumoured PREDATOR sequel. He'd love to "restart the PREDATOR franchise" but "we'd have to come up with a really good script and a really great angle on it". What about the AVP franchise? "I think we've logically done what we could've done with the two AVP movies. But I think there's something to go back to with PREDATOR." (thanks to DarkHorizons.com) Please have Robert Rodriguez directing his PREDATORS script.

wtf?
It has to be a misquote.

except for the predalien, I really didn't have a problem with AVP-R. it wasn't memorable, but it wasn't any more or less insulting to my sensibilities than PREDATOR 2 was. However, AvP pretty much raped both franchises.
