Whats all the RE bashing about ? I think the movies (Especially Nr. 2) are awesome. And about the Games: I'd rather have Super-Mutant-Milla-Jovovich instead of some wacky dude walking trough a small town in Spain...the RE-Games have gone the down the Hill since Nr. 2. Sure RE 4-5 are still good games but they don't have that much in common with the originals either.

I 2nd Blood Gnome's comment. The Resident Evil movies were intended from the beginning to be unique stories taking place within the Resident Evil universe, and not simply re-tellings of the video games stories. The games already had very good and complete interactive stories. I for one didn't want to re-tread the same video game stories again. I wanted fresh content in the movies [and for that matter, comic and book spin-offs as well!].
Milla Jojovich is not only attractive, she is a competent actress that helped make the Resident Evil movies rise several notches above the usual Uwe Boll craptastic video game adaptations such as "House of the Dead", "Alone in the Dark", and "Bloodrayne".
Milla has actually played the Resident Evil games together with her younger brother, and lobbyied strongly for the part when she heard Resident Evil 1 was in pre-production...
I bash the films because they are utter garbage and I haven't found an ounce of enjoyment in even the first one, and from there its fallen to such a subpar film its really quite a point of annoyment that purile, illconceived and talentless mtv style pap gets millions of dollars spent on it and many talented film makers fail to get similar funds allocated for them for surefire master pieces.
That's my main point of annoyance.
This is intensified by the utter superiority that would be attained by being faithful to the original material. There is more source of horror and appealing repulsion in the source material (see Resident Evil Rebirth, Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 4) than in this dren. This is even if they ported straight over the cheesy japanese b-movie nonsense, silly villians and retarded cut-scenes. There's more love and artestry in the source than there is in this cashin pap, and I find that offensive.
I hate it because its crap, because its a waste and because they had a surefire win on their hands and they completely and utterly f*cked it up. I think that's mopre than enough reason to hate this rubbish take on the franchise.
