05.12.10 - The Walking Dead: Writing staff dropped
Not such a big deal looking through the writing credits of the first season. There are more episodes in season 2 (13), but non-staff writers could be a blessing. Lets hope it has a story-arc.
Quote:
** THE WALKING DEAD: Despite the renewal for another season, showrunner Frank Darabont has fired the entire writing staff of the AMC hit series. Along with the scribes, writing executive producer Charles H. Eglee has been let go and Darabont is reportedly looking to assign scripts to freelancers rather than having a writing staff. Darabont himself penned the first two episodes of the first season and polished the scripts for the other four - one of which came from the comic's creator and two from non-staff writers. I actually don't mind. I myself thought that the plot is pretty weak and could be much better and interesting. I'm sure Darabont knows what he is doing.

I don't really mind after that last episode. What a stinker!
