Andr? Toulon is a puppet maker and the best of the kind. One day he happens upon an old Egyptian formula able to make all things dead come alive. He decides to give life to his puppets. As Toulon is both half-crazy and eccentric it doesn't take long for his puppets to develop into small murderous beasts that run away from their master. In desperation Toulon commits suicide. Some years later four psychics get on the trail of Toulon and his demonic inventions, and they decide to find the dolls in order to destroy them. On the other hand, the dolls will do anything to stop them!
Made to cash in on the success of Child's Play, this is one of the most successful Full Moon productions and an iconic horror film from the 80s. It is not as good as Child's Play but is a very different type of film, despite both about killers dolls.
