Once every so often, a strange little movie pops up that spawns a pop culture phenomenon. Japan's Ringu is one of them. This bizarre ghost story went on to spawn a sequel, a prequel, several tv specials, and of course, remakes. The newest, and highest budget remake is an American translation of the original story.
A local urban legend points to a particularly nasty video tape that is being passed around the youth community. This tape, when watched, will curse its viewer. You will see surreal, horrible images on the tape. It will end abruptly. Then the phone will ring...a voice will tell you you only have 7 days to live. When a journalist's niece becomes a victim of the tape, she begins to follow a trail of victims until the tape falls into her possession. Desperate to know what is killing the children, she watches the tape. It's no hoax...she gets a call. She has seven days to live. When she drags her son and his father into the mess, she realizes there is more at stake than her own life...
Essential horror viewing.
The first is a verified rip, that I have. However it is not the best spread.
Thanks to sharereactor, the second link is very well spread. Both are hard subbed
