This movie is based on a novel of Tiziano Sclavi, and it always reflects the "sclavian philosophy" diffused by the most succesful comics in Italy: Dylan Dog, the detective of the nightmare. There is the duality between love and dead (in Italian "dellamore" means "of love" and "dellamorte" means "of death"), a duality that Dellamorte feels in a really hard way. He is the guardian of the cemetery of Buffalora, a little town in the north of Italy, in which, we don't know why, corpses rise from tombs and Dellamorte has to destroy them. Dellamorte seems not to ask to himself why this happen, he shoots and loves. But at the end he wants to leave Buffalora...

Comments:
Classic zombie flick, I'd recommend everyone grab this cool movie. It's more commonly known as Cemetry Man in the USA or UK... you've probably stumbled across this flick at some point in time. Anyway, its an awesomely stylistic zombie romp, whilst there are no overwhelming zombie hoards, we join admist resurrection of zombie hoards, and an 'engineer' that dispatches with the dead without remorse or compasion, so much so that he seems to switch off to violence and randomly embarks on killing sprees. Aided by a grave digger that utters little beyond a Silent Bob style enthusiastic grunt, the movie is a twisty fantasy horror about love and death, in so many words.
Whilst there's no serious Braindead stye gore, there is of course a plethora of exploding heads, and it has its fair amount of blood to keep gore fans happy. For those looking for a bit of light entertainment, it has a unique charm about it that keeps you satisfied... for those who are looking for a bit of mystery there's a twisted, windy story with a lot of beneath the surface mystery about it. It has, at least, a fair message behind it.
This is a humourous horror/comedy/fantasy piece and I would recommend it fondly.
The rip is a pretty skillfully dub in english (sorry folks). The AR also seems a tad out in this rip, it should be 1.66:1
