Comment This movie is an independent film production and is therefore rather unknown in the horror genre. The trailer/teaser shows it as a classic vampire movie. But it's just not that. There is very few - if any - gore in it and the suspense is kept rather low. The focus is more on character development and telling the story of those involved in the whole presented vampire scene.
It tells the story of some college students, who come to the Jersey shore to spend some time partying. Seth is the main "hero" and he is also one of them. He gets into an unusual relationship with Victoria, who is a vampire. Seth also has something to hide, but it is only revealed at the short fight at the very end.
There are a few "bad guy vampires" that live on the shore and spend their time killing people, who cross their way in the night time. Charles is their leader and is also the one with the strongest vampire powers. He can use them to twist others mind and make them do what he wants.
The other group of vampires can be considered as the "good guys". They became creatures of the night, but refuse to kill people just like that in order to survive. Amy Jo Johnson is one of them.
Ultimately the good and bad guys can't stand each other and Seth gets also involved in the story, which ends with a final confrontation between Seth and Charles.
Unfortunately the move is very slow paced. I believe that it wants to focus on the characters and their problems being vampires. The movie sounds and looks cooler than it actually is. The acting is very good, but the story is just too simple. The last fighting scene is very short and ends abruptly wanting you to see more, but you wont. There is also too few blood in it - for my taste. What I am trying to say here is: don't expect too much and you will probably like it.
