When ghost hunter Cyrus Kriticos is killed during a hunt, he leaves his house and fortune to his nephew Arthur and his children. Upon entering the house, they activate a machine that one-by-one releases the houses inhabitants: 12 very angry, and very deadly, ghosts.
A remake of a classic horror flick of the same name, this one tries to ride the wave of success that followed the previous remodelling of "House on Haunted Hill". Although not managing to pull it off, it still provides a lot of entertainment, decent acting and nice gore and special effects. It manages to bundle some nice action sequences into the package to make this one a cut above the rest of the high profile, higer budget horror romps that have weedle thier way into the cinemas over recent years. That said, there is room for great improvement and this hardly stands up as a really great horror flick
